This web site can be used to create a classroom blog or a virtual classroom.As an educator you can create the class account and manage the student’s accounts.As a student you can work use the tool hands on without being required to use an email address and some confidentiality.This tool is also free for educators.You can register up to 100 students on your account.
As an educator I chose to use 21 classes for my student’s blog entries because I am able to manage and maintain their accounts.Also, I was able to set up the course blog and passwords for the accounts.It provided safer feelings that having them use blogger and throwing them out live on the web. This site features several of the same features as blogger or other blog sites.The students are able to create a profile, customize their blog appearance, enter the blog entries, and customize the information available on their blog. When first using 21 classes it took a little time to navigate the controls for the blog.It also took the student’s time to get familiarize with the blog.However, once the students and I found the links and controls it became as easy to maintain and manage as blogger or other blog services.If starting basic blog or introducing blogging to a class I would recommend this site because of the password capability and being designed for educators.
